In this game, the Ufa trainee Andrei Vasilevsky was given a rest, Ilya Sorokin defended the net. Sorokin continues his personal shutout series at the world championships.

In the final match of the group stage, the Russians will play against the US team on May 16. This will be the game for the first place in the Cologne championship group. At the moment, the Russian team has 17 points, the United States has 15. The third position is taken by the Swedish team - 13 points.

The beginning of the match with the Americans is at 17.15 Moscow time.
