Ufa native Daniil Kvyat prepares to show excellent result in Sochi

UFA, 27 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. According to foreign experts, the current season of "Formula 1" may be the last in the "royal race" of the Ufa native Daniil Kvyat - next year he can be replaced by the Frenchman Pierre Gasley, the newspaper Izvestia reports.

The transition from the main team of Red Bull in the younger Toro Rosso could not help but effect on a psychological state of Russia's only representative in Formula 1: he was not very good at the second part of the season. In the offseason, Daniil Kvyat spent a lot of time with his family and friends, which, according to his confession, helped him to distract himself and to start the new season with fresh vigour.

However, Kvyat completed the first three races quite unsuccessfully - he scored only two points and now ranks 13th out of 16 lagging behind his team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr. by 8 points.

The reason for such low result could be a technical malfunction of the car - at the Chinese Grand Prix Kvyat ran off the track because of problems with hydraulics. At the Grand Prix of Bahrain, the Russian racer failed to start very well, flew off the track and was in the last place, but, as he himself stated, the unfortunate incident was due to poor adhesion to the highway. At the race-opening season in Australia, the Kvyat’s car did not fail, and he finished following his team-mate - in the ninth place.

According to Pavel Guskov, the first coach of Daniil Kvyat, and now continuing cooperation with the athlete, it is too early to draw any conclusions about quite unsuccessful start of the season.

In the current season, Daniil Kvyat held three races, in which he reached the finish line twice and scored two points. The next stage of the Grand Prix of Russia "Formula 1" will be held in Sochi from April 28 to 30.
