Ufa foil fencer Iskander Akhmetov - bronze medalist of World Championship-2017

UFA, 10 April 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. Ufa native Iskander Akhmetov, as a member of the Russian four, won bronze medals of the world championship among the cadets. Competitions are held in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.

Our fencers defeated the national teams of Serbia, Turkey and France, and in the semifinal match lost to the US team - 27:45 on their way to the semi-finals.

The Russian quartet beat the Italians - 45:34 in a match for bronze. The US team, which did not let the Russians into the final, became the champions.
