Young Bashkir athletes with disabilities returned with victory from Austria

UFA, 29 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Four children with disabilities from Bashkortostan brought eight awards from the World Winter Games of the Special Olympics 2017. The Olympics took place in Austria, athletes with mental disabilities participated in it.
Alexander Nikolaev won a gold medal in the giant slalom and a bronze medal in the supergiant. Anastasia Parshutina was the best among snowboarders - she won two silver medals in supergiant and giant slalom. Artem Farkhutdinov won gold in snowboarding slalom, and silver for giant slalom. Alina Khamitova was awarded bronze medals for giant slalom and slalom.
Winners and prizewinners were congratulated by the State Duma deputy Rima Batalova. In addition, the Rima Batalova’s Public Foundation "Youth of the Nation" supported the children in the framework of the project "Bring up a Champion". They received certificates for purchase of sports equipment.
"We are proud of high achievements of our young skiers and snowboarders. It's nice to watch how our joint efforts turn into victories", Rima Batalova said.
