Alexei Chizhov joined Ufa native Aigul Idrisova as champion of International Draughts World Cup

UFA, 13 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. The International Draughts World Cup has come to the end in Ufa. Aigul Idrisova from Ufa won the championship title ahead of schedule, but men had to play a super blitz. Among women the second place went to Natalia Sadovska (Poland), and the bronze award was given to Elena Chesnokova from Latvia.

In the men's tournament the experienced Alexei Chizhov in the extra game beat Senegalese Samba and became the champion.

The silver award was won by Jan Groenendijk (Netherlands). The third prize winner was Guntis Valneris (Latvia).
