Salavat Yulaev: on the brink of elimination from Gagarin Cup 2017

UFA, 2 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. On Thursday, March 2, HC Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) will play the fifth match of the East quarterfinals of the Gagarin Cup-2017 against HC Ak Bars (Kazan). Today's match will be held in Kazan.

So far the score is 3: 1 in favour of Ak Bars and they need just one victory to enter the second round.

The match will start in the capital of Tatarstan at 19.00 MSK.

In the West all conference semifinalists are already known: yesterday Dynamo (Moscow) beat Torpedo (Nizhny Novgorod) - 3: 1 and with the same score won the series; Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl) in the four matches was stronger than Dynamo (Minsk) (the fifth match in Yaroslavl brought victory to the hosts - 4: 1). Earlier, SKA and CSKA won their series with the score 4: 0.

In the East, Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) is in a step away from the semifinals in the confrontation with the Chinese Kunlun Red Star. A persistent struggle is in pairs of Traktor (Chelyabinsk) - Barys (Astana) and Avangard (Omsk) - Admiral (Vladivostok) - 2: 2 in the series. Today, the matches will be held in Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk and Omsk.
