Murodullo Amrillaev from Sterlitamak showed his skills at draughts tournament in Cannes

UFA, 28 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. On the eve of the International Draughts World Cup finals, which will be held in Ufa from March 2 to 12, the world blitz champion Murodullo Amrillaev from Sterlitamak tried his hand in two representative tournaments in Cannes.

Amrillaev won all 48 participants in the first of these events - Cannes Open; he was the fourth in the second event - the European Championship, having lost a bronze-medal match to another Russian citizen - Alexander Getmansky. The second was Latvian Guntis Valneris. The victory went to the legendary Alexander Shvartsman, which regained its European title of European blitz draughts player. The European champion in this program in 2016 the Ufa resident Ainur Shaybakov could not take part in the tournament preparing to the World Cup finals, the press service of the Federation of International Draughts informs.

Before the start of the World Cup finals at Ufa President Hotel (Aurora Street 2), master classes of famous International Draughts Grandmasters for talented young people of Bashkortostan, simul with participants of the World Cup finals will be held on March 2. More than 100 participants are going to take part in the event.
