New sports facilities construction is planned in Bashkortostan

UFA, 17 February 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. In Bashkortostan, it is planned to build new modern sports facilities. This was stated by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov at the extended board meeting of the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB.

“Now in the framework of public-private partnership projects are being implemented for the development of the "Mratkino" ski resort, construction of the tennis facility in Yakutov Park,” said the Head of the Region. “Next, we will build a fencing gym. We should by all means build gymnastics sports school in Ufa. I myself as a child was engaged in gymnastics and do not understand how it can be absent on our sports map. This is a fundamental sport. It is obvious that without gymnastics development of any other sports is not possible.”

The Head of Bashkortostan marked that 511 million rubles was spent for development of sports infrastructure of the republic last year. Over the past five years, 44 facilities have been built and put into operation: 20 sports and recreation centres with gyms and swimming pools, five sports centres with gyms, four swimming pools, three stadiums, five indoor ice rinks and other sports facilities. However, many sports complexes are not fully used. In some municipalities the number of these objects occupancy does not reach 40 percent.

Among the important tasks the Head of the Republic named creation of sports fields in the place of residence and sports facilities adapted for persons with disabilities.
