It has become known when fountains in Ufa will be turned off

They will begin to prepare them for "wintering."

The Ufa administration has announced the dates for winterizing city fountains. According to the mayor's office press service, engineers will begin turning off the hydraulic structures one by one starting October 13.

"After being turned off, specialists will carry out a complex of mandatory measures. First, they will drain the water and clean the bottom and sides of the basins. Next, they will flush the networks, filters, and pumps, and blow out the pipelines with compressed air to remove the remaining water. To protect the basins, they will be covered from above with a prefabricated shield frame," specified specialists from the administration of the capital of Bashkortostan.

At the same time, the mayor's office noted that the fountains in the V. I. Lenin Park, which recently opened after reconstruction, will operate a little longer—until October 20, but depending on weather conditions.
