In Bashkiria, poacher was fined 100 thousand rubles for shooting moose
In January of this year, a man, while moving on a snowmobile through the territory of the Altyn Solok state nature reserve, illegally shot a male wild moose.
Signs of hunting were discovered by a district inspector, after which police officers found the butchered carcass of the animal in the garage of an acquaintance of the defendant.
The poacher pleaded guilty and voluntarily compensated for the damage caused to the state - 80 thousand rubles. According to the Republic's prosecutor's office, the court sentenced him to a fine of 100 thousand rubles. The court also confiscated his snowmobile as state revenue.
