Magnetic storm will occur on Earth in day

Flare activity resumed on the Sun on September 19, though it was quite moderate. Astronomers foresee a magnetic storm, which is most likely to occur on Thursday, September 24. Coronal holes are causing it to release streams of solar wind that will reach Earth in about a day. The Laboratory of Solar Astronomy noted the possibility of large prominences breaking off.
