In Bashkiria, three mushroom pickers got lost in forest over past day
Over the past day, specialists of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Emergency Situations received two reports about those lost in the forest.
Two adults could not find their way back in Ishimbay District; another man got lost in Blagoveshchensk District. Fortunately, there were no incidents — everyone got out on their own, and no one needed medical help.
Since the beginning of autumn, 101 people have gotten lost, including six children.
The department notes that autumn is the height of the mushroom season, and reminds people of the main safety rules. Take a fully charged phone, inform your relatives of the exact route, dress brightly, avoid going far into unfamiliar terrain, stick to paths, and remember landmarks. If you lose your way, call 112 and stay put; make sound signals: whistle or knock a stick against a tree.
