In Ufa, they got rid of tires in courtyards

In some apartment buildings, residents still use dangerous, unsightly rubber circles to decorate their flower beds.

The Ministry of Housing and Utilities of the Republic of Bashkortostan showed the results of a raid on Ufa courtyards. The inspection focused on the state of landscaping. One problem was old car tires—residents continue to use them to create flower beds or fences.

Meanwhile, this is prohibited by law: tires are classified as class IV waste. Their use for decorative courtyard design is unacceptable. The management company is responsible for organizing the removal of car tires.

The Ministry of Housing and Utilities reminded that the "Tire Recycling" campaign is running in Ufa until December 1. Special collection points are open in every district of the city, and tires are being removed by truckload.

"Despite the availability of infrastructure, the process of clearing courtyards of old rubber is complicated by the attitude of the residents. While some residents immediately approved of getting rid of the tires, others require lengthy explanations," the agency noted.
