In Bashkiria, two forest fires continue to burn in the Abzelilovsky and Beloretsky districts, the regional Ministry of Forestry reported.
"In the Abzelilovsky forestry, the fire has been localized to an area of 43.2 hectares. In the Tirlyansky forestry (Inzerskie Zubchatki), the fire has also been localized on an area of 7.5 hectares. There is no threat to settlements and economic facilities," the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Bashkortostan noted, adding that foresters are carrying out work to protect forests from fires within the framework of the 'Environmental Well-being' national project.
After extinguishing these two fires in the Abzelilovsky and Beloretsky districts, the EMERCOM air-mobile group returned to its permanent deployment point. Over the past 24 hours, the Main Directorate of EMERCOM for Bashkiria added that no new forest fires have been registered in the republic.
"In total, since the beginning of the fire-hazardous period, 29 forest fires have occurred in the republic (for the same period last year — 14 outbreaks, an increase of 15). The total area covered by fire amounted to 284.6 hectares," EMERCOM stated.
Meanwhile, Bashkiria still faces a high risk of forest and landscape fires. Thus, a class 4 fire hazard (high) is forecast in 13 municipalities. These include the Abzelilovsky, Arkhangelsky, Baymaksky, Belebeyevsky, Beloretsky, Buzdyaksky, Burzyansky, Zilairsky, Iglinsky, Kugarchinsky, Meleuzovsky, Uchalinsky, and Fyodorovsky districts. The Khaybullinsky district has a Class 5 fire hazard (extreme).
