A fire broke out last night in a private house in the village of Starokulevo in the Nurimanovsky District, the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic of Bashkortostan reports.
At the time of the fire, a family with six children was fast asleep and might not have noticed the threat in time. The tragedy was avoided thanks to a smoke detector that went off. Upon hearing the alarm, the adults quickly dressed the children and led them outside.
By the time Ministry of Emergency Situations firefighters arrived, the fire had already damaged the roof and veranda, but no one was injured. The family is currently staying with relatives. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Bashkortostan reminds everyone to install a smoke detector in the house.
