Residents of Bashkiria warned about extreme fire danger
The State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Emergency Situations, citing data from Bashhydromet, warned citizens that extreme fire danger will persist in certain southeastern districts of the republic from September 1 to September 7.
Under such conditions, any spark or careless handling of fire can lead to disaster. Dry grass and gusty winds can cause fires to spread at lightning speed and cover huge areas in minutes.
Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to:
- build fires in forests and adjacent territories;
- burn dry grass, garbage, and combustible materials;
- carry out any work with an open flame;
- leave unextinguished cigarettes, matches, and other sources of ignition.
