The Republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations warns of extreme fire danger in the southeastern districts of Bashkortostan from August 24 to 31.
Residents are urged to limit trips into nature and to be extremely careful with fire. According to statistics, 8 out of 10 wildfires are caused by human error. The main causes are unextinguished campfires, burning dry grass and trash near forests, and cigarettes and matches left unattended. Even oily rags in the sun and glass bottles, which can focus sunlight and cause a fire, pose a danger.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also reminds that uncontrolled burning of dry grass can escalate into a natural disaster and leave dozens of families homeless. They ask people to pay special attention to children, not leave them unattended, and teach them fire safety rules by example.
In case of a fire, call 112 immediately.
