Over the past 24 hours, 61 drunk drivers have been detained in Bashkiria, including three "recidivists," reported the region's chief state traffic inspector, Vladimir Sevastyanov.
As Sevastyanov noted, over the past 24 hours, State Traffic Inspectorate officers carried out "large-scale work to ensure traffic safety" on the roads of the Republic. In total, traffic police inspectors recorded 1,250 traffic violations.
"Particular attention was traditionally paid to identifying drivers operating vehicles while intoxicated. Over 24 hours, 61 intoxicated motorists were removed from driving. For three of them, this offense was a repeat one — they had previously been held administratively liable for driving under the influence. Now they face criminal liability," emphasized the chief state traffic inspector of Bashkiria.
