In the Ufa neighborhood of Sipaylovo, a 22-year-old girl, a student at one of the universities, contacted the police — more than 910,000 rubles were swindled from her, 840,000 of which were borrowed funds. In her case, the "bait" was a call supposedly from a delivery service. To receive a package, she was asked to provide a code that had been sent to her; then, they began to scare her with the hacking of her Gosuslugi account and loans being taken out in her name.
The girl believed them and followed all their instructions. She not only took out loans but also took her jewelry to a pawn shop, receiving more than 70,000 rubles. She sent these to the scammers as well. She realized the trouble only after the callers stopped getting in touch, and she was left with all her funds.
