Courier to be held accountable for theft of 1 million rubles from residents of Bashkiria
In Neftekamsk, a case is being sent to court against a courier for a fraudulent group, whom the police caught red-handed in May of this year. As reported by the Republic of Bashkortostan prosecutor's office, the scammers deceived two residents aged 90 and 85, swindling 950 thousand rubles from them with made-up stories about accidents that their relatives had allegedly caused. A young man from Ufa took this money from them and transferred it to his "employers," keeping an agreed-upon portion for himself. He became a defendant in a criminal fraud case and will have to bear full responsibility for the theft of the pensioners' funds.
