Road markings near schools in Ufa to be updated by September 1

Acting Mayor of the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Rustam Sharipov, instructed the relevant services to finish updating the markings and to engage in this work at the beginning of summer next year.

104 thousand square meters of road markings have been applied in Ufa this season. According to Arsen Latypov, head of the city's Municipal Economy and Improvement Department, updates were made to Salavat Yulaev and Oktyabr Avenue, as well as to Pushkin, Tsyurupy, 50-letiya Oktyabrya, Komsomolskaya, Rossiyskaya, Mendeleeva, Marshala Zhukova, Pervomayskaya, and Perspektivnaya streets, among others. The official also reported on the application of new markings on bicycle and bicycle-pedestrian paths along the route: 50-letiya Oktyabrya St. — Oktyabr Avenue — Tonnelnaya St. — Komarova St., as well as in Ivan Yakutov Park. In total — 1,930 sq. m.

"As part of the preparation for the new academic year, road markings are being applied at pedestrian crossings in the immediate vicinity of educational institutions. This work will be completed by August 20. In total, it is planned to apply about 110,000 sq. m. of road markings in 2026," shared Arsen Latypov.

Acting Mayor of the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Rustam Sharipov, emphasized that next year the relevant services should begin applying markings earlier so that by the start of summer, motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists feel safe.
