Residents of Russia will immediately learn about loans taken out in their name
The State Duma, at a plenary session, adopted, in the second and third readings, amendments introducing a mechanism to inform the borrower when they conclude a consumer credit or loan agreement. In accordance with the new standards, credit and microfinance organizations will be required to immediately notify the borrower of the agreement's signing and terms. The notification must be received within 15 minutes.
The document is aimed at protecting citizens from fraudsters, noted the speaker of the lower house of parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin. They will be able to promptly find out about attempts to take out a loan in their name and react promptly in the event of fraudulent actions.
