Residents of Bashkiria will be able to see "strawberry Moon"
In Ufa, the "strawberry" full moon will occur on June 30 in the morning at 04:57. As the Ufa City Planetarium explained, the June full moon received this name because it coincides with the wild strawberry harvesting season.
Other names for the June Moon are associated with agricultural cycles and natural phenomena. For example, in Europe, it was called the "Honey Moon," which is associated with the start of the honey-harvesting season. Some associate this name with the tradition of holding weddings in June, and the first month after a wedding was called the "honeymoon."
In the southern hemisphere, where the seasons are opposite, the June full moon is often called the "Oak Moon" or "Cold Moon," reflecting the winter nature of this time of year.
