A 43-year-old resident contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs department for the Ufimsky District. According to the victim, between March and June of this year, she received calls and messages from unknown numbers in a messenger app.
According to preliminary data, the strangers introduced themselves as "employees of an investment company." During the dialogue, the attackers offered the victim a way to earn money quickly and easily. The offer interested the woman, after which the scammers sent her a link to download an application and a number for a supposedly personal account.
Over several months, the scammers convinced the citizens of high profits by showing fictitious growth. Trusting the "specialists," the victim followed the swindlers' instructions. During her communication with the attackers, the woman transferred about 5 million rubles but never received any dividends. When the applicant decided to log in to her personal account again, it turned out to be blocked. Only then did she realize that she had become a victim of fraud.
