In Neftekamsk, a pensioner handed over 1 million 400 thousand rubles to a courier after being deceived by false employees of the FSB and the Central Bank.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan, the attackers called the pensioner's mobile phone, introducing themselves as housing and utility services employees, and then as FSB officers. Under the pretexts of replacing electricity meters, verifying data, declaring funds, preventing fraudulent actions, and saving money, the scammers convinced the man to give up all his savings.
On June 18, the Neftekamsk resident handed over 1 million 400 thousand rubles of his own savings, which he kept at home, to a courier.
