Ufa resident won half million from store for missing appliances
The total amount recovered from the online store was 549,675 rubles.
A resident of Bashkortostan ordered a washing machine, a dryer, and an oven from an online store. He paid 182,725 rubles for all the appliances. However, the order was never delivered, and the seller ignored all claims.
The Ufa resident sought help from the Rospotrebnadzor office for the Republic of Bashkortostan. Specialists provided consultation and prepared an expert opinion for the court. The lawsuit was filed with the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa, which fully supported the plaintiff's position.
As a result, a settlement agreement was reached between the parties. The seller will pay not only the cost of the appliances but also a fine, a penalty, and compensation for moral damages.
In total, the man will receive 549,675 rubles.
