Mass traffic police raids have started in Ufa. Right now, traditional continuous checks are taking place in the city as part of the "Bus" preventive campaign. State traffic inspectors and other interested agencies are checking for the presence and compliance of all necessary documents, including foreign driver's licenses and work permits in Russia.
Special attention is also being paid to young drivers of motor vehicles as part of the "Don't drive, kid!" social campaign, said Vladimir Sevastyanov, the Chief State Traffic Inspector of Bashkortostan.
He also reminded that the roadworthiness of vehicles and compliance with traffic rules are, first and foremost, the responsibility of the drivers themselves.
