Storm warning issued in Bashkiria
Today, in the second half of the day and in the evening of May 27, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is expected in some districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, squally winds with gusts up to 26 meters per second, heavy downpours, rain, large hail, and thunderstorms are forecast.
Rescuers urge residents and visitors of the region to observe safety precautions. If a thunderstorm, hail, or downpour catches you in an open area, it is recommended to take shelter in depressions of the terrain — ditches, pits, shallow ravines. You should not hide under lone trees, especially under oaks and larches. You should also stay away from metal structures, pipes, and water surfaces.
