

In the territory of the Beloretsky District of the republic, one forest fire site with an area of 2.5 hectares has been registered over the past 24 hours. As of 6 a.m., it has been contained, the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Republic of Bashkortostan reported. Firefighters continue working on its complete liquidation.
In total, since the beginning of the fire-hazardous period on April 8, 9 forest fire sites with a total area of 83.35 hectares have already occurred in the region. By this date last year, 7 sites had been recorded.
According to space monitoring data, 4 thermal anomalies were detected and confirmed in the region over the past 24 hours in the Meleuzovsky, Karmaskalinsky, and Ishimbaysky districts.
According to Bashhydromet, today, May 22, high fire danger will persist across the republic, with extreme fire danger in some western districts.
