

A forest fire has been recorded in the Zilairsky District, the State Committee of the Republic for Emergency Situations reports.
According to the regional Ministry of Forestry, the fire's area at the time of detection was 0.80 hectares. Currently, 35 people and 9 pieces of equipment are working to extinguish the forest fire.
Also, over the past 24 hours, there were fires involving dry vegetation in the Bakalinsky and Abzelilovsky districts.
In total, since the beginning of the fire-hazardous season, from April 8 to May 19, 8 forest fires have been registered in the territory of the republic's forest fund. The total area affected by fire is 80 hectares. The vast majority of these incidents are caused by the population's careless handling of fire.
