In Neftekamsk, a 39-year-old woman fell victim to scammers who promised her huge profits from investments, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Bashkortostan reported.
She was added to a private channel in a popular messenger, where guaranteed income was advertised – it was possible to invest 10 thousand rubles and receive 100 thousand. The woman contacted a supposed financial consultant and, believing the promises, transferred 28 thousand rubles to the scammers. Instead of profit, they began to demand even more money from her. Realizing that she was being deceived, the victim contacted the police. A criminal case has been initiated.
The police remind: offers of quick and easy earnings with huge profits are always a scam. Real investors do not look for clients in random messengers, and a 10-fold income in a short period is impossible in legal transactions.
