The abnormal heat that has set in the republic is caused by the southward and southeastward transport of air masses, Bashhydromet explains.
Starting this weekend, the temperature rose to record levels for May, reaching +30 degrees. This weather will persist in the coming days. In some districts, the mercury will rise to +32 degrees.
The weather will change on Wednesday. On May 20, short-term rain and thunderstorms will occur in the northern part of the republic.
On May 21, a cold front will arrive in the Republic of Bashkortostan from the north. The air temperature will drop at night to +8 and +13 degrees, and during the day to +19 and +24 degrees. Short-term thundery rains will occur in some places.
