About 3200 pets were lost in Bashkiria over year
Residents of Bashkortostan lost about 3200 of their pets in 2025. The statistics are provided by the All-Russian system for searching for missing animals.
According to the study, cats are lost in large numbers in the summer, due to trips to the countryside and open windows, while dogs go missing during the New Year holidays, due to fireworks. Cats are lost noticeably more often than dogs.
78% of animals are found within the first week. According to the owners themselves, advertisements, posts on social networks, and the assistance of volunteers and veterinary clinics help return a pet.
