Treatment will be carried out in Baimak's water supply networks using sodium hypochlorite.
Residents of Baimak have been warned about the planned chlorination of the water supply system. Sodium hypochlorite will be introduced into the drinking water at 5 p.m. on May 5. The treatment will last until noon on May 6.
"The water will be unsuitable for drinking purposes. Residents need to stock up on drinking water and should not use water for drinking or cooking during the specified period. After the chlorination is completed, the water can be used without restrictions. If you open a tap at home and smell chlorine from the water, the water should be drained until the smell disappears (20-30 minutes)," warned the resource supply organization.
Baimak residents are advised to use filters, freeze the water, or purify it with shungite or silicon during system chlorination. If drinking water is necessary, let it settle and boil.
