Russians were told how to correctly plant onions in spring
Due to the cold spring, the start of the gardening season has shifted slightly, and even the simplest crops that are not frost-sensitive will not grow in such weather.
As "Izvestia Mordovii" shared, when planting onions, it is necessary to wait for the soil to warm up to 10-12 degrees Celsius: in frozen ground, the plant does not sprout, and there is a risk of bolting.
Also, one must not plant onion sets in waterlogged soil, because they can rot. Agronomists advise against rushing plantings and waiting for stable warmth.
