And the weekend will be long.
This year, the Spring and Labor Day – May 1 – holidays fall on a Friday, so the new workweek will be short.
This means that employees with a classic “five-day week” will be off on May 1, 2, and 3, and those with a "six-day week" will be off on May 1 and 3.
An important point for everyone: the last working day of April, the 30th, will be a short day. Regardless of your schedule, you can leave work one hour earlier, the Ministry of Labor reported.
When granting vacation, only May 1 is not included in the number of calendar days; that is, the vacation is extended by one day.
The next three-day weekend is expected to be from May 9 to May 11 (Saturday to Monday) in observance of Victory Day. In addition, May 27 has been declared a non-working holiday in honor of the Muslim holiday of Kurban-Bairam.
