In the Bashkir capital on April 25, the spring stage of the republican campaign "Green Bashkortostan" will take place, the mayor's office press service reported.
This Saturday, more than 1,800 trees and about 5,500 shrubs are planned to be planted. At the same time, the emphasis will be on creating alleys with comprehensive landscaping.
Thanks to the campaign and its participants, eight new locations will appear in Ufa, located on the following streets: 22 Yakub Kolas St., 95 Vetoshnikov St., 250-letiya Oktyabrya St., Klavdiya Abramova St., and Mingazhev St. – in the section from Kirov to Chernyshevsky; in the section between Ulyanovykh and Kalinin. The "Golden Puck" square will be laid out on Gvardeyskaya St., and the "Rechnikov" alley will appear at the intersection of Akhmetov and Zaporozhsky lane.
"Green Bashkortostan" is a large-scale annual environmental campaign that is held in the republic twice a year – in spring and autumn. It is aimed at landscaping territories and improving public spaces. Every year, tens of thousands of people participate in it.
