Residents of the Zianchurinsky District of Bashkiria witnessed an amazing natural phenomenon. Eyewitnesses managed to film a unique crane dance. The video was shared on the social media accounts of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Cranes most often dance in the spring, during the mating season, but they can perform their dances at any other time of the year as well. Both a pair and several pairs can dance simultaneously.
The common crane is a rare species included in the Red Book. It is a migratory, diurnal bird characterized by monogamy. Pairs form for life, and communication between cranes occurs through characteristic loud trumpeting.
