Series of record-breaking hot days continues in Bashkiria

On March 31, the Ufa-Dyoma weather station recorded a maximum air temperature of +17 degrees, the Bashkir Hydrometeorological Center reports. The previous absolute maximum for this date was +14.3 degrees, set in 2009.

This is the seventh temperature record for March in the republic. Meteorologists attribute the abnormal heat to the spread of an air mass from the Central Asian steppes and deserts into the region.

On April 2 and 3, short-term rains will occur in some areas. The air temperature at night will be +1 ° or +6°, in some places down to -4°, and during the day +12 ° or +17°.

According to the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, in the Republic of Bashkortostan, average daily air temperatures are expected to be 8-10° above normal through April 5.
