On March 24, the start of clean-up days was announced in Bashkortostan.
During this time, 6.3 thousand cubic meters of waste were collected and removed. 108 thousand people and 20 thousand enterprises and organizations took part in the clean-ups, and 1747 units of equipment were involved, said Irina Golovanova, the regional Minister of Housing and Utilities, at an operational meeting in the government.
Traditionally, in the spring, clean-up days involve loosening and scattering snow, collecting garbage, sweeping areas, and cleaning ditches.
Ecological clean-up days will be held until May 10, the minister noted.
