A historical minimum of tuberculosis incidence across all statistical indicators is being recorded in the region.
This was reported in an interview with the Bashkortostan MCC by the chief physician of the Republican Clinical Physiopulmonology Center, Shamil Bulatov.
According to his data, while three years ago the number of active patients was 3.2 thousand, it is now around 1.9 thousand.
"In the first quarter of 2026, we have already managed to save the lives of 7 patients. Overall, there are now only three fatal cases per 100 thousand people. People are getting sick with tuberculosis less often and are recovering more frequently," Bulatov commented.
