Wedge of white swans spotted in sky over Bashkiria
In Bashkiria, spring is increasingly coming into its own. A flock of migratory swans flew over the republic in an orderly wedge. Eyewitnesses managed to capture the mesmerizing sight. The footage shows dozens of birds flying in a beautiful V-shaped formation across the clear blue sky.
Judging by data from open sources, swans migrate in large flocks (sometimes up to 1,000 individuals), returning from the south to the north in the spring. They fly at very high altitudes, sometimes exceeding 8 kilometers, and often line up in a wedge to save energy. This "aerial formation" helps them cover enormous distances.
