In the republic, as across all of Russia, employees on a five-day workweek are expecting two short workweeks in a row.
In March of this year, residents of Bashkortostan are expecting two four-day workweeks due to the observance of International Women's Day and Uraza-bayram.
The first week is from March 10 to 13. International Women's Day was celebrated this year on March 8, but since it falls on a Sunday, the day off was moved to Monday, March 9.
The second week is from March 16 to 19. Uraza-bayram this year will be celebrated on March 20, a Friday. Following the four-day work week, there will be three days off: March 20, 21, and 22. In addition, Thursday, March 19, will be shortened by one hour, as it is a pre-holiday workday.
