The most powerful flare in the last two weeks occurred on the Sun. It was classified as class M, reported the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy (IKI) RAS.
Experts note that in the middle of the month, there were "dips" in solar activity. Now it continues to gain momentum quickly. Despite the flare's power, experts reassure that it is not directed toward Earth and does not pose a threat to our planet. Moreover, there is currently no comparison with the solar storm at the beginning of the month, when 6 X-class flares occurred.
