Monument to architect Margarita Kupriyanova opened in Ufa

Today in Ufa, a long-awaited monument to the talented architect Margarita Kupriyanova was opened. The city's mayor, Ratmir Mavliev, called her a person whose love for her work and the city left an indelible mark on its appearance.
In the difficult post-war time, having become the chief architect of Chernikovsk at the age of 30, Margarita Nikolaevna did not just build buildings. She shaped the soul of an entire district, creating harmonious spaces. Houses on Pervomayskaya, the "eight-story buildings", cozy courtyards, thoughtful development, Victory Park — all of this is her legacy.
"Let this monument become a reminder for each of us: the city is created by people," the mayor wrote. "Sincere thanks to everyone who, with their labor, talent, and love for Ufa, has made and is making our city as we know and love it!"
