Residents of Bashkiria will be able to see Mercury in evening sky

On February 19, Mercury will be at its maximum angular distance from the Sun to the east, located in the constellation Aquarius. This means it will be at its furthest point from the Sun in the sky.
Around this date is the best evening visibility of Mercury this year. After sunset, it is visible for almost two hours as a bright "star" low above the western horizon, in the direction the Sun set. Since it is visible low above the horizon, one should choose a location with an open western horizon for observation.
After its maximum distance from the Sun, Mercury will begin to approach it (in the sky), setting earlier and earlier and quickly losing brightness. At the end of the month, it will be visible against the dawn sky as a faint "star," to the right and slightly above very bright Venus.
In early March, it will disappear from view as it approaches its inferior conjunction with the Sun, entering it on March 7, passing between the Earth and the Sun. After this, Mercury will begin a period of morning visibility, according to the Ufa Planetarium.
