Security at schools, universities, and colleges to be strengthened in Bashkortostan

Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov emphasized that the safety of educational institutions is a priority for the republic's law enforcement agencies and that additional measures are needed to strengthen it.

The statement was made by the republic's leader on February 10 during a meeting with Rustam Nagimullin, Acting Head of the Rosgvardiya Department for Bashkortostan, and Vadim Shakirov, Acting Head of the Department of Private Security for Ufa—the regional branch of the Rosgvardiya Private Security Department.

"Several cases of attacks by teenagers on their peers and teachers in educational institutions have occurred in the republic. Together with law enforcement agencies, we are discussing ways to enhance school security, including the training of certified personnel and financing this area," Khabirov noted.
