It is possible that this time it will pass without magnetic storms.
On February 5, the first disturbances from the surge in solar activity that began several days ago will start reaching Earth, the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy reported. In just the first three days of February, five highest-class X flares and about 50 M-class flares were recorded on the Sun. However, the magnetic storms themselves are expected to be weak; only the edges of plasma clouds will affect Earth.
However, our planet will remain in the zone of maximum risk for another three days, scientists warned.
