The epidemiological situation in the republic remains stable and under control.
According to the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor, the third week of the year saw an expected seasonal rise in morbidity, up 13.9% compared with the previous holiday weeks. Children accounted for 39.8% of cases. Influenza viruses continue to dominate among all circulating respiratory viruses, with influenza A (H3N2) being the predominant strain.
Residents of Bashkortostan were reminded to follow preventive measures: wash hands frequently, ventilate indoor spaces, disinfect work surfaces and gadgets, and avoid contact with people who are showing symptoms of illness. Most importantly, people are advised not to self-medicate and to seek medical attention promptly.
