Residents of Bashkortostan will be able to see the aurora borealis on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to specialists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory.
According to the latest information, a plasma cloud from the Sun will strike the Earth's magnetosphere on Tuesday, around midday.
The plasma cloud's estimated arrival time is midday Moscow time.
"The impact on Earth will be accompanied by strong geomagnetic disturbances up to level G4. The probability of a magnetic storm at the highest level, 5, is approximately 10%. Exceptionally strong aurora borealis is expected on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, signs of which will be visible, tentatively, across almost the entire country," the astronomers reported.
